What are the place principles?

The vision for Jacka’s Local Centre is to create a distinctive, connected, and vibrant hub that reflects Jacka’s unique character and landscape. It will feature high-quality, safe, and well-designed buildings and public spaces, promote walking, cycling, and public transport, and foster community through a mix of uses, events, and green spaces. The Centre aims to be a destination within Canberra, combining urban living, nature, and activity in a cohesive and welcoming environment.

The Site

Block 1, Section 39 Jacka is located in Gungahlin. The site sits between Romberg Way, a public park, wetlands and future residential development.

The site benefits from adjacency to green open space, and a future pedestrian-friendly residential catchment.

The site is located in CZ4 - Local Centre Zone under the territory plan. This zoning supports mixed-use development to meet local needs.

What will be there?

The development will consist of three storeys of mixed commercial and residential spaces. There will be outdoor spaces, connective walkways and adjacent parking.
